Teaching

President David O. McKay once said, ‘No greater responsibility can rest upon any man [or woman], than to be a teacher of God’s children’ I'm writing a paper on my personal philosophy of teaching, and so I'm reviewing Teaching, No Greater Call. I just came across that quote at the very beginning.

I'm excited to go into teaching, but I'm more excited to thank you Mom and Dad for being my teachers. You guys have been absolutely wonderful in teaching me everything from how to spell my name, a love for books, who I am, and about Christ. Thanks for all your teaching methods. Mom, thanks for reading to me, with me, and simply in my line of sight. Dad, thanks for sharing stories of your childhood, your love of people, and singing to me in the hammock on those many camping trips.

I can't begin to express how much you guys have taught me. I love you both dearly. I couldn't have asked for better parents.

Love
Kimmie

Yep, here we are....

Double Date

Last Friday night David and I went on a double date. Not with each other, because that would be gross. First we went to TACO BELL (aren't you super proud dad?) and took it to a playground at a mental institution for a picnic. We think it was close to where Shelly and Chad got engaged. After that, we went ice skating.

Getting shoes on!

Sweet tricks!

Happy late Easter everyone!

Hello Family! Here are some of the pictures we took at the Washington DC Temple Visitor Center. Jason and Ethan were not able to come with us- Ethan had a doctor appointment. It was so wonderful to have them come visit. A big thank you to all who helped arrange it!

I am dying to see some pictures of sweet little Parker Jay! Could someone please post some if they have any? Love you guys!! --Lisa

Finals

I love school sometimes. But not so much this week. As you all know, I have finals starting today. Obviously, I should be studying right now. I have an array of notes, quotes, and handouts scattered in front of me. For some reason, I don't think I should even bother trying to memorize how to spell the names of the pre-Islamic Arabic poets or the levels of Hell of Dante's Inferno. I got Sir Gawain and the Green Knight down pretty well...but Ancient Literature just isn't my forte.

I also just got my grade for my New Testament paper. It was a really bad paper, Holly can attest to that, so the 85% I got on it isn't bad. Now, if I get 100% on my final, I'll have a 92.9% in the class. I'm not sure I'll get an A in there after all.

I can sympathize with Harry when he said that he'd rather face a dragon than take the O.W.L.S ... (to be honest, I think he said he'd rather face a dragon than have to ask someone to the Yule ball, but its the same book/movie, so I hope you all have the quote mixed up in your heads too, and don't realize that I'm crazy.)

I love you all! Please keep me and Davey in your prayers this week for finals and finishing up some work before the break.

and
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Thank You

Sorry I can't figure out how to make it fit better.  Just click on it and then you can zoom to read it better.

I'm grateful for these good people who wouldn't tolerate this behavior any longer.  My faith has been restored in the goodness of people.  May we all stand up for one another and stand together.  May we never forget our friends and be a voice for them when they may need us.

Digital Scrapbooking

OK so I'm addicted.
This Christmas season I wanted to make my own card
and found myself a new hobby.
A time sucking hobby.
Just what I needed. :)

Poop

So...a couple of weeks ago, I discovered what a negligent mother I am. We were at the park feeding ducks. Another mom was being nice and feeding my piggy son goldfish. She would just put some on the stroller and let Canden grab and eat them. We were all packing up to leave, so I picked up Canden to head out, but when I looked at him I saw that he had green drool coming out of his mouth. I said out loud, "What are you eating?", then the thought came to my mind that he had picked up some duck poop and was eating it. So I did the cheek squeeze and finger sweep and, to my disgust, I discovered I was correct. Other moms quickly came to my aid and started handing me diaper wipes from their diaper bags. It took several wipes to get it all out of his mouth - it was a lot. So as I made the final wipe inside his mouth with a diaper wipe, I'm thinking of how gross that was that my son seemed to be enjoying poo. And I'm trying to figure out when he got out of my vision long enough to get it in his mouth. Perhaps I'll have to resort to Mom's method of child care when the kid starts walking - put him on a leash - and not because the kid's hyperactive, but because apparently I can't talk to friends and watch a child at the same time.

Guess What. I'm Home!

Flying away from Calgary.

The Welcoming crew minus dad.

I'm sure Paige was happy to see me but she still stuck close to Emily... just in case.

I think mom was happy.

Don't know if the Cannon and Kimball know who I was but they didn't care too much. They just really liked the escalator.

Scary Halloween Everybody!

Halloween is always a fun one.

11:57 AM

These are a little outdated, but I've been busy with school...
My friend Breanne came down for the Wyoming game and it was a blowout! I am so glad that Brent has been able to come down for most of the football games. He is such a goof and blast. I sure do miss having him close in Provo all the time.

I love going to the games with my cousins they are very awesome to say the least

There's me and Breanne Ortland. She's pretty much the coolest person ever. Everyone encourage David to marry her. You want her as a sister-in-law, I promise!
