Brady's Wedding

This is our family in Seattle with the most Seattle-y thing we could think of.

THE SPACE NEEDLE

It was much smaller than I had anticipated.

And, yes that is a blue sky in Seattle.  What can I say, we just lucked out.

This is Shane and Bleu and Miley at the Pacific Science Center.  We tried to find something to do that was fun for all ages and would be a Seattle like thing to do.  We even saw and IMAX movie while we were there.

Here are some of the cousins playing in the bubbles at the PSC.  They had all sorts of stuff there.  A water play area, a tidepool with starfish and anemones, a lightflash room, dress up, bugs to look at, a giant chess set and chair and table, dinosaurs....LOTS OF STUFF!

This is Brady, being Brady

This is Kirtlan, being Kirtlan
(actually I think he's being a police officer)

They had a buterfly atrium and Michelle caught a butterfly with her camera

And Chad caught one with his shoulder.

And Maddie caught one with some help from Michelle

Maddie was really careful not to touch the butterfly, just to let the butterfly touch her.

This is Kimball showing me the butterfly he just saw.

We went to the beach at Alki and it was fun.

Olympic Weightlifters have nothing on him!

Nor this guy (who is Cannon for the twin-inept)

Chad is thinking fashion forward

We had a surprise party for Grandma and Grandpa's 35 wedding anniversary.
With balloons and squealing kids and everything.
Nellie made a movie for them and if you look really carefully at the screen of the flatscreen in the bottom right corner you can see a picture of little Craig.

This is the happy couple just moments before Melissa's newly inherited 14 or so nieces and nephews attacked the couple.

Aren't they cute?  Don't they look so fancy?

A bunch of nieces doing what they do best

I don't know what Chad told them to say but it was something that would require you to open your mouth really wide.

Maddie was much too smart for such trickery.

Oregon '08

It was fun to take the kids to Multnomah Falls.  I totally remember coming here as a kid and the kids thought it was pretty cool.

We hiked up to the bridge which really isn't too far and the kids ran like the whole way.  It was a Saturday and really quite busy so the kids were running under people and a bit outta control but they were having the time of their lives.  Plus those latte drinking mini-hikers could probably use a little bit of "kid" in their lives.

Yeah, I'm raising a bunch of posers.

We then went to Greg and Stacy's house and this is what my kids did to it.  I wish I was joking but I'm not.  Dallas Butler (Briana's 3 year old), Maddie, and the twins took all of the games out of the game cupboard and dumped them all over the basement.  Greg, in typical Greg fashion, mostly just laughed.  Stacy got right to work and got the kids to work beside her (Thanks Stacy!)  I was mortified but the Brown's made me feel better by not being upset.

We had a ton of fun at Greg and Stacy's.  The kids played with Trenton, Dallas, and Brooklyn.  We got to go to church with them and see Greg in all of his glory as the bishop and Stacy serving in the RS presidency.  I even saw an old friend from Kaysville in their ward.

Once we got home Maddie asked, "What's the name of that nice lady who fixed us breakfast and had her grandkids at her house?"
"Stacy?"
"Yeah Stacy!  She's nice.  Can we go back and visit again?"

Hello anyone out there?

This is Shelly and I'm about to change the name of this blog to the Morris Family and Sometimes Kimmie blog.

We want to hear from everyone.  We know that now that we introduced you to the joy of blogging you have gone off and made your own that doesn't excuse you from contributing at least once and a while to this one.
We miss you.

Why we love Christian

7:51 PM

These are just some silly pics I took with our computer.  It was funny because the computer did a little countdown and that concerned Christian so all of his pics have a worried face...lol.

11:38 AM

Happy 4th of July

Then we went to Grandma and Grandpa Morris' house for some Dutch Oven and Slip and Slide.  Grandma and Grandpa Brown were there too and Brady as well.

Then when it began to get dark we lit off our own fireworks on the street and played with glowsticks.  Cannon stepped on a hot sparkler stick and that was our only injury after all of those pyrotechnics.
Then we lit a fire and roasted some S'Mores and then we watched 3 firework shows from Grandma and Grandpa's backyard. (notice our matching shirts that Grandma Brown got for us- Thanks Grandma)
We went home very tired but had a GREAT 4th of July.  Hope yours was fun as well!

A Nightmare...

This is Chad...
One day last week, Kirtlan was up with me before I went to work. He told me about a dream he had. It went something like this, "Dad I had a dream last night that was kind of like a nightmare, but not really. There was this monster who was trying to eat me. Then he chased me and chased me, and then he caught up and ate me."
"That sounds scary bud."
"Not really, because he didn't have any teeth."
"Oh. [not willing to discuss digestive juices at this time] so what did you do?"
"I found a door and got out. But then the monster chased me again and I ran away really fast because I didn't want to get eaten again."
"but then you could have just left out the door again."
"yeah. But that's a lot of trouble."

Kirtlan is Dash Incredible (or Mr. Incredible, it changed throughout the day), Maddie is Rosetta the Fairy from the new movie Tink, Kimball is Buzz and Cannon is Woody.

Story Time

We did a lot of other things but for some reason we don't have pictures of them...actually we probably have video but I haven't checked yet.  We got Disney puzzles, coloring books, sticker, played Disney games, ate Disney food, got Disney remote control cars, and in the very end we went to Grandma and Grandpa Browns were they had the Disney channel and Mom and Dad went out to unwind from such an eventful day.

Christian was born May 30th 2008

He was 8 lbs. 15 oz. and 22 inches
He was a successful VBAC (hurray!) even though they readied the table for him...
We were able to come home in 24 hours and everything looks great.

7:01 PM

Our Crazy Last Couple of Days

Maddie and the Twins had a Dance Recital for FHE.  The twins are the only boys in the whole school.  Thank goodness they are too young to even notice.  Plus they LOVE to perform and were having a blast dancing.

Then the next night we went to Grandma and Grandpa Browns for Mothers Day and we each got a balloon and a good nap on the car ride home.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIMBALL AND CANNON
Mom Brown made this cake for the twins and they were EXCITED!

And that's the Morris chaos...

Movie Quote Game

Because I can't let a dead dog lie, I've resurrected this game...it's been a long time.

-What are some of the most pressing issues facing the environment?
-Ummmm...litter?
-Bugs.
-Forest Fires?
-Well, what about the Ozone Layer?
-Yeah we defiantly got to get rid of that.

Lisa Had Her Baby Girl This Morning

I really don't have much to add to this right now.  Somehow I was so excited that I forgot to ask all the details.  Please feel free to add details in the comment section.

My kids are very obedient, see!

This is one afternoon were I got all the kids up in their beds but not Kimball.  He was pretty determined not to have to take a nap.

This is a wee little bit late but hey, it's still funny

Bowmans

Ethan the missionary. Ethan loved Elder G. and would show off his cool break dancing moves for him.
Here is my belly, getting bigger and bigger! We still do not have a name for baby #4, any suggestions for a girl name?
