Half Dome

Hey family! I just thought i send some pics out your way from beautiful Yosemite California. My friends and I did the half dome hike last week and it was a blast! I dare anyone to say that this part of the country was created by accident. It was definitely one of those places to be grateful for our gift earth. It only took us 7 hours to get up and 5 hours to get down. Well that’s about it.

hasta!

Happy 50th Dad!

Happy Birthday Dad!
I'm sorry you are getting so old. So old in fact that you forgot today was your birthday! But it is apparent to us that you get sweeter with age. We all love you more than you know!

Swim Time

Hey Family- This is us at the apartment pool. We have some fun pools in our community, but we seem to always go to the one here.

The pic of the man looking at Kylie in the pool is the only picture we took that day of Jason. Hopefully you all can remember roughly what his face looks like (super handsome). We took a walk in the rain today, would have taken some pictures if we had charged the batteries. Love you all. Have fun in Disney Land.

Fun Week

Hey everyone! Dad and I took a visit to Utah last week to see all the kids. Oh ya and for some job interviews too. While no one has called me, Dad excepted a job today so we will soon be over there. You guys better hang out with me a lot because I leaving all my friends right as they are getting back from college. During the week we where there Dad accidentally dislocated Maddies elbow by picking her up. So Jason it happens to us all..... or maybe just abusive fathers. Just kidding Dad felt really bad about it and I'm sure Jason did too. After the elbow was popped back in place Maddie was a lot better. She even wanted her Dad and myself to swing her around the room. A little birdie called me this morning and told me that my name showed up in the registry as being processed in the MTC today. This means I'll probably be getting my call next week! Well I'll talk or see ya guys later!

So, here you see a three year span of the Hook and me during the last week of school of my Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior year respectivly. To the fault of my parents there will be no picture of my Senior year to complete the timeline, but I'm not bitter or anything. As the third Brown to attend Grace M. Davis and have Mr. Hooker as a teacher, I just thought I'd say a few words about that beloved school. Davis may be ghetto, the campus outdated and too small, the air conditioning nonexistant, the food way overpriced, the halls crowded, the lockers broken (i shared with 3 other people this past year-and the locker only opened if we kicked it), and some of the teachers a little off their rockers, but I loved being a Spartan. I will miss that school and all the people there. I think the three youngest Brown's would agree, Hooker's pretty cool, and Davis isn't too bad. It's been fun being a Spartan.

Anyway! David took me and a bunch of friends to Santa Cruz on June 3rd. It was super fun. Here is my brother on the ferris wheel with his invisible girlfriend. She's really nice, but doesn't speak much. Anyway...I just have to say that David is the bestest brother ever for taking us. It was one day that I will never forget. I love David =) !

I know there was a request for dance pictures, but those aren't any fun. I look silly =). We actually don't have any good clear ones. Sorry.

I do have this random picture of Brianne Burnham and me. She's one of my friends from my ward. This is us in math. I cut all my hair off, so it's gone. Mom said to me today, "Your only beauty!" (Little Women joke there) and I laughed my face off. As soon as i get my hands on a camera I'll take a picture and post again.

I love you family! You're the greatest family ever.

So Excited!!!!!!!!!

I am soooooo excited to see the family back up here in Utah with us. Mom! That means when I have my baby in two years, you can watch it for me :). Dad, that means when Kimmi has her first college boyfriend, you're going to have to meet him over Sunday Dinner. Kimmi, that means you'll actually get to have family around when Easter comes the weekend before BYU finals. David, that means you'll have to work hard getting the family packed and moved and your whole world will be turned upside-down just before you go on your mission. (Sorry, Dave, guess it's more fun for the rest of the family.)

Isn't it amazing how things just work out. You guys thought you were going to Hawaii, but Dad got all of these unexpected medical bills and you couldn't go. Then Dad's medical treatments enabled him to get time off work and he was able to work on financial stuff and resumes and even able to come out to Utah for interviews. You thought you had a house in Logan, but then you lost it. Now look back and imagine how impossible that commute would have been. Most Importantly-Jared and I no longer have to travel to Cali for Christmas.

Life is just going great, isn't it!

Love,

Holly

Hey everyone! I got my two bottom wisdom teeth pulled on Monday and I just wanted to show you how sweet my cheeks are! The doc said they are going to be bigger tomorrow! Well that’s about it.

How Was Your Weekend?

Did everyone enjoy a nice 3-day weekend? I know our weekend was a little more eventful then we had hoped for. Friday night Kylie and Ethan took their dad to a friend's birthday party. Unfortunately, Kylie peed all over the friend's house, I mean it, all over! I guess she was running around looking for the bathroom.

A few hours latter Jason called me at work saying we needed to take Kylie to the ER. Kylie was smothering her brother so Jason picked her up by her arm and POP. He thought it was her wrist that was hurt, but it was her elbow that was partly dislocated. The doctor was able to quickly pop it back and she was playing like nothing happened just a couple minutes latter.

Saturday Jason's dad came to town to hang out with us. I can't remember what we did that night, but I do remember that all 3 adults came home with headaches from screaming kids. Oh, I remember now. I lost my purse at the mall. It had my wallet, phone, keys, work badges and passwords, checkbooks and my palm pilot. After running around the store crying asking people if they had seen it (don't forget I'm prego)I just stood looking down off the balcony glad I didn't loose one of my kids. Then a employee came out with my purse, I cried some more and gave her a hug. I guess someone had turned it in after all.

Sunday truly was a day of rest:) Then on Monday we went to the overly crowded Smithsonian Zoo. It was a little too hot to enjoy and I was dreaming of our air conditioned car as we walked back to where we had parked it. Unfortunately, someone had broken the window and stolen our stereo. Could have been worse, I guess.

I'm not sure this morning is going to be any better. Someone woke up with a wet bed and someone peed under the dining room table. Can you guess who?

Despite it all we actually had a fun weekend. Wish I could have spent it with you all. Love you tons!

Kimmie!

Hey Kim, It's been awhile since I've seen a post from you. How about sharing some dance photos. Love ya!

12:47 PM

Well the twins turned 1 on the 13th and here are some photos of those one year olds (and one of Maddie and Kirtlan.) Hope everyone is having a nice spring. Ours is kinda hot, but it's nice to be able to play outside again. We even got a swingset for this summer. It's the cheap-o WalMart kind, but we don't need it to do too much, or last too long.

11:07 AM

I asked the kids what they wanted to say and

Maddie:
I love you. Lisa, I love you. Kimmie, I love you. I salad you. Mickey Mouse gave us shampoo. I'm not done with it. Uncle David, I love you and I'll share my Mickey Mouse soap and shampoo. Aunt Lisa and Aunt Johnny and Aunt Spenny you can share my soap too. I wish I had a cookie. I have a cookie. It's just pretend. Aunt David, I love you, and Mickey Mouse soap, too!

Kirtlan:
Dear Johnny I'd very like to be big like you. There's a flag in the marching band parade. The twins are knocking down their gate.

I'm so glad that these are being recorded for posterity. I love you all and Mickey Mouse soap, too!

Easter Pictures

Hi guys-
I know these are a little old, but we really haven't taken many pictures lately. Easter was pretty fun. Kylie got a new tri-cycle and Ethan got Kylie's old bike. Both kids were very excited. Luckily we didn't give Ethan too much candy, because everything he had was in his mouth within minutes. After church we went on a little egg hunt on the patch of grass in front of our apartment. It was fun to see the kids getting along so well. We are lucky to have two wonderful and loving children. Hope you all had a great Easter too.

Happy Mother's Day

D.R.BrownFamily
Happy Mother's Day Mom!

Mom-
This post is just for you! We all think you are a kind and generous woman. Thank you for cleaning the baby's diapers, making the PB&J, driving us to school and picking us up late. Jokes aside, you really have done so much for our family. You've kept us laughing, taught us the gospel, and taught us by word and example what it means to live unselfishly. We honor you! We love you and hope that you know how much you mean to all of us on this day .

10:20 PM

Ha, ha, I breached your defenses!!

You've been infiltrated by a new virus called Johnny Young. I'll bet you're wondering how I made it into your ultra top super secret society. Well I'm not going to tell you. Maybe if you pester Holly enough she'll tell you that she gave me the password. But you won't get it out of me. Nope, not a word. Here are some random photos for you.

I just wanted to say I love you all.

Love,
Johnny

Hi All!

These are some of the pictures I have been promising for months (okay, maybe one). This was our Arches National Park trip with Johnny, Kira, and Missy in the beginning of April. I love you all!

Merry-Land

So i recently had the chance to go to Maryland and visit Lisa and Jason. I am here to announce to the family that I David Brown have changed a diaper... lets make that a lot of diapers. I love the Bowman kids to death. While eating at Applebee’s Kylie showed me a French fry and said "this is a French fry but I call them fries. So the next time you say the word fries you have Kylie to thank. Ethan likes to run around the house with his stuffed doggy. If you ever want to distract him from something just ask "Ethan where's doggy?" even if he was upset he will usually get a smile on his face and run away looking for it. Ethan also likes to ask you "Do you like Boohba?" I would usually lie and say yes. Those Boohbas are by far the scariest kid show ever! All you can see of their face is their creepy eyes. And whenever they walk around they make farting sounds. Yikes! Lisa and Jason took me sight seeing. We went to D.C., Baltimore and Annapolis. We also went to Fedricksburg! What's in Fredricksburg you ask? Sean! We went to some other places but thanks to our government I have no proof of it. Anyway, I loved the trip and I am thankful for the opportunity I had to go. Thank you Lisa and Jason for the fun time!
