Who are you?

Have you ever tried to answer that question. It's a little tough, but I just made an attempt, and I'd thought I'd tell all of you who I am

I'm Kimmie, not Kimberly. I can be Kim when necessary: calm, collected, hard working, intelligent (enough). But who I really am, Kimmie. I care about people a lot. Not just some people, but most people. But there are some that I care a great deal for. I am a friend. I like to let people in, I like to talk to them, and I like to help them. I love to love others. I love being loved. I am Aunt Kimmie, the one who isn't quiet an adult. I am a daughter, the one who isn't so much a child anymore but will still crawl onto her father's lap. I am independent and self-sufficient. I am happy. I am silly and goofy. I am confident in a pair of heels, comfortable in my slippers, happiest with my feet bare in the sand. I am loved and I am important
if to nobody else, to the Savior and the Father. I am a Daughter and He has a plan for me.
I am a nurturer, and I believe that is part of His plan. I'm Kimmie
don't worry, i'll copy it into my journal later

New boy

So basically, I am totally, utterly, ridiculously happy being with Adam Loose. Go ahead and all make fun of me. I don't care. I'm too happy to care (and honestly, we're weird...you should make fun of us).

But I thought I would share some pictures from our first date. It was a "blind date"...
as in we were blindfolded.

Adam and I have known each other since Fall '08. The first time he came over, he came with his little brother Carson. My first impression...weird boys. It took awhile, but I eventually got used to the weirdness that surrounded the Adam (and pretty much his entire apartment, actually).

Now I love it, his weirdness that is.

So sometime in September, Adam was teasing me and was trying to tell somebody that we were practically engaged. I declared, "I have never nor will I ever date Adam Loose!"

October rolls around, and I start to like him despite myself.
Sometime during that month (or maybe it was before, I don't remember), I was talking about how I really don't mind blind dates. Somehow we concocted this brilliant idea: A "blind" date, where one or the other is blindfolded for everything. It took awhile to put together, but we got his roommate in on it. The boys planned the activities (which included twister and a walk around campus), and the girls planned the food (we made sandwiches and had ice cream, the boys made their sandwiches while blindfolded).

To add to the craziness... we had this date on Halloween. A few weeks before I snagged my footie pjs (thanks Shelly and Chad) from Mom and Dad's because I knew Adam had a pair. we were cute (see below). The other couple was a 70's couple. It was pretty awesome...but nothing beats Adam in footie pjs with a boxing helmet on for no apparent reason.
So that was Halloween...
We both knew we were just going as friends
Neither of us knew we liked each other
So...
We both kinda gave up in November.

December rolls around, and I want to see the Blindside.
My roommate had already seen it...bummer.
I'm sick of asking random guys I'm not that interested in on dates.
I complain about this to my roommate.

That night, Adam came over just to visit.
All of a sudden, it dawned on me. Take Adam!
So, our second date was earlier this month. I asked him. It was the boring movie and meal.
I'm not as creative.

Slowly through that week, we both came to realize that the other person was actually interested. After the date, we made it official. Later we talked about everything, and had a good laugh about Halloween.

So life is good and Adam is great. You should all meet him.

And stay tuned...more really awesome (or weird, if you are judgmental like Lisa ;) ) dates to come.

Today's Quote

"I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in beingstrong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe thattomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles."

Audrey Hepburn

I found this today, and it made me smile. I think I can echo that quote pretty word for word.
Although, I'm not exactly sure I know what believing in pink means? Nevertheless, I'm pretty sure I believe in it

For those who love to Blog

It helps you figure out how to do all those cool things that the other people seem to know how to do but you just can't figure out.

Pictures are worth a thousand words

But some of these are only worth like two or three. These are just a bunch of fun pictures that I thought I'd share with you all.

This is at the open house back at the beginning of August. Yeremy (pronounced Jeremy) and I went with my Korean roommate Hanah. It was a really wonderful experience. I love the temple and Yeremy, and Hanah!
This is Clarke! He came up to Utah for Education week (we met and Education Week awhile back). So we partied a little. We matched this day, so we took pictures.
This is Alia on her birthday. She's 21 and really good at making funny faces. Behind her is Zach...he's awesome. Check out his Mountain Man Madness (aka beard). He has to shave it now.

Lauren, Adam, and Caleb. The silliness of this picture is priceless. From looking at these pictures, you may all think I have weird friends...I know I do =)

This is Lauren and Stevie-Boy, her bat balloon. He has been with us for three weeks now, and is still plenty plump and floating. He is a good friend, but we all fight over him. Lauren has to continually remind us all that he is hers.

Alia and I last Sunday. We are pretty. The end.

Family Home Evening (obviously)
I remember long ago, somebody who shall remain unnamed (cough*Lisa*cough) who dumped mashed potatoes on our dinning room table and created art out of it. I think David may have helped. This is a very vague dim memory, and might be completely made up...but nevertheless, it has always stuck with me and I've wanted to sculpt mashed potatoes for a long time. I finally had an FHE family that I could convince to do this with me.
This is Kyle. If you want to hear a funny story about him, let me know...it's pretty funny. He is carving details onto a car.

This is a heart that said love...we're killing it =)
This is a star ...of course
This is Vanessa carving something. This picture makes me laugh.
This is teancum killing his mashed potato pony.
This is teancum (designed by Alia)

Steven and Vanessa are inside chatting away. DK, Alia and I are chilling on our bench. And Joe's bike is hiding under the blanket. He told us to not let anyone steal it, so of course we stole it and hid it. He honestly had trouble finding it...It was great.

Alia and are are happy
Alia and I are sad (but we aren't really sad, but we look cool looking sad)

Just so you know, I love my roommates. We play a lot, and make silly faces. Sorry I put you through all that. I love you all

12:30 PM

Christmas is coming up soon

And anyone who would like me to design their christmas cards can just ask (and send me pictures.) I can do it pretty much any way you'd like but it takes a while that is why I'm putting the shout out now. I promise to work with you to get what you want not just make it crazy Shelly-style (which lets admit has flair ;)

9:55 PM

Hammock

This is the hammock and the girls that I love so very much.

I just wish we didn't have responsibilities
that keep us away from the hammock

8:48 PM

Lauren

Is Awesome!

I asked her what I should post, and that is what she wanted me to post. Well, that's what she told me to post. I don't really know if it is what she wanted. But she did just beat our roommate Alia in a towel whipping contest. So yeah, she is awesome.

Anyway, just a quick update...

School is hard. I don't really like it yet, but hopefully I get excited about it again soon. I'm sure I will, it just might take a little longer to get into the swing of things again.

Work is awesome stuff. Being the SAM of CS for OACL under the OIT for BYU (Student Assistant Manager of Customer Service for the Open Access Computer Labs under the Office of Information Technologies for Brigham Young University) is fun. It is also a mouthful, which is unrepresentative of the chillness and relatively easiness of the job itself. So far, I've redesigned a screensaver, put together a report on some of our usage stats, and prepared for and presented at some orientation meetings. Plus I put a coworkers phone in an airvent thing (you couldn't hear it ring when it was in the ceiling).

So that is pretty much all that is new in my life. I love ya all!

7:00 PM

Some one got married...

9:34 AM
