So...a couple of weeks ago, I discovered what a negligent mother I am. We were at the park feeding ducks. Another mom was being nice and feeding my piggy son goldfish. She would just put some on the stroller and let Canden grab and eat them. We were all packing up to leave, so I picked up Canden to head out, but when I looked at him I saw that he had green drool coming out of his mouth. I said out loud, "What are you eating?", then the thought came to my mind that he had picked up some duck poop and was eating it. So I did the cheek squeeze and finger sweep and, to my disgust, I discovered I was correct. Other moms quickly came to my aid and started handing me diaper wipes from their diaper bags. It took several wipes to get it all out of his mouth - it was a lot. So as I made the final wipe inside his mouth with a diaper wipe, I'm thinking of how gross that was that my son seemed to be enjoying poo. And I'm trying to figure out when he got out of my vision long enough to get it in his mouth. Perhaps I'll have to resort to Mom's method of child care when the kid starts walking - put him on a leash - and not because the kid's hyperactive, but because apparently I can't talk to friends and watch a child at the same time.

We just wanted to say thank you to Lisa for getting past her anger over me being the favorite child and allowing me to post on the family blog again.

These are a little outdated, but I've been busy with school...
My friend Breanne came down for the Wyoming game and it was a blowout! I am so glad that Brent has been able to come down for most of the football games. He is such a goof and blast. I sure do miss having him close in Provo all the time.

This pumpkin had a prickly stem and Kimball didn't like it much
No, we didn't show up in these hats. It was for a photo-op.
There were A LOT of pumpkins at this pumpkin patch. This picture is probably less than 1/8th of the size of patch. It was HUGE!
Yeah, these are my kids...
They had a hay maze and a corn maze.
The nice thing about the hay maze is that there was no way to get lost. If you just kept going you would get out.

This is our family in Seattle with the most Seattle-y thing we could think of.
THE SPACE NEEDLE
It was much smaller than I had anticipated.
And, yes that is a blue sky in Seattle. What can I say, we just lucked out.
This is Shane and Bleu and Miley at the Pacific Science Center. We tried to find something to do that was fun for all ages and would be a Seattle like thing to do. We even saw and IMAX movie while we were there.
Here are some of the cousins playing in the bubbles at the PSC. They had all sorts of stuff there. A water play area, a tidepool with starfish and anemones, a lightflash room, dress up, bugs to look at, a giant chess set and chair and table, dinosaurs....LOTS OF STUFF!
This is Brady, being Brady
This is Kirtlan, being Kirtlan
(actually I think he's being a police officer)
They had a buterfly atrium and Michelle caught a butterfly with her camera
And Chad caught one with his shoulder.
And Maddie caught one with some help from Michelle
Maddie was really careful not to touch the butterfly, just to let the butterfly touch her.
This is Kimball showing me the butterfly he just saw.
We went to the beach at Alki and it was fun.
Olympic Weightlifters have nothing on him!
Nor this guy (who is Cannon for the twin-inept)
Chad is thinking fashion forward
We had a surprise party for Grandma and Grandpa's 35 wedding anniversary.
With balloons and squealing kids and everything.
Nellie made a movie for them and if you look really carefully at the screen of the flatscreen in the bottom right corner you can see a picture of little Craig.
This is the happy couple just moments before Melissa's newly inherited 14 or so nieces and nephews attacked the couple.
Aren't they cute? Don't they look so fancy?
A bunch of nieces doing what they do best
I don't know what Chad told them to say but it was something that would require you to open your mouth really wide.
Maddie was much too smart for such trickery.

It was fun to take the kids to Multnomah Falls. I totally remember coming here as a kid and the kids thought it was pretty cool.
We hiked up to the bridge which really isn't too far and the kids ran like the whole way. It was a Saturday and really quite busy so the kids were running under people and a bit outta control but they were having the time of their lives. Plus those latte drinking mini-hikers could probably use a little bit of "kid" in their lives.
Yeah, I'm raising a bunch of posers.
We then went to Greg and Stacy's house and this is what my kids did to it. I wish I was joking but I'm not. Dallas Butler (Briana's 3 year old), Maddie, and the twins took all of the games out of the game cupboard and dumped them all over the basement. Greg, in typical Greg fashion, mostly just laughed. Stacy got right to work and got the kids to work beside her (Thanks Stacy!) I was mortified but the Brown's made me feel better by not being upset.
We had a ton of fun at Greg and Stacy's. The kids played with Trenton, Dallas, and Brooklyn. We got to go to church with them and see Greg in all of his glory as the bishop and Stacy serving in the RS presidency. I even saw an old friend from Kaysville in their ward.
Once we got home Maddie asked, "What's the name of that nice lady who fixed us breakfast and had her grandkids at her house?"
"Stacy?"
"Yeah Stacy! She's nice. Can we go back and visit again?"
